Obituary
Joseph Vincent Knosby, age 89 passed away April 26, 2023 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on July 24, 1933, in Cumming, IA to Martin and Mary (Hayes) Knosby.
Joseph V. Knosby married Lila May Hornung on October 31, 1953 in Iowa Falls, IA and a year later moved with his wife and their young son to Cumming, IA where they had two more daughters. They farmed and raised their family there for close to four decades. In 1996, Joseph, Lila and their son Joe relocated to Idabel, OK to farm and make a unique life for themselves. Joseph was a member of the St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lila May Hornung Knosby on April 24, 2022; six brothers, Louis, Austin, Fredrick, Cyril, John and Robert Knosby.
Joseph is survived by his son; Joseph M. Knosby; daughters; Carol (David Hanf) KnosbyHanf, and Susan Knosby; grandson; Shawn Hanf: sister, Marian Eileen Stangl; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Funeral Mass Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at St Frances de Sales Catholic Church, Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
A visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at White Family Funeral Home Chapel.
