Joseph C Smith, Jr

Joseph Cullen Smith, Jr passed away May 22, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born December 21, 1974, in Garvin, OK to Joseph and Velma (Tidwell) Smith, Sr.

Joseph lived most of his life in McCurtain County. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, flowers, and loved the outdoors. Joseph served in the U.S Army, attended aviation school, received bronze star and Army Commendation Medal.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cullen Smith, Sr and Velma (Tidwell) Smith; brother, Larry Smith; sister, Janice Pfeiffer.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Larry B. Smith and Kristen of Durant, Joseph Smith and Traci of Boswell; grandchildren, Daemon Smith, Mason Smith, Rayne Smith, Kielei Smith, Marley Smith; brother, Anthony Smith and Sandi of Garvin; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Garvin Baptist Church, Garvin, OK with David Jordan officiating.  Interment to follow at Garvin Cemetery in Garvin, OK
