Joshua “Josh” Roy Kirk Wilkerson, age 54 of Haworth, was born to Roy Kirk Clark and Lila Baxter Wilkerson on January 2, 1971 in Texarkana, TX. He passed from this life on Monday, May 18, 2026 at his home in Haworth surrounded by his family.
Josh proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years. He served on the first nuclear powered ship the “USS Long Beach.” As fate would have it, Josh was electrocuted in the Navy and honorably discharged in 1994. This allowed him to come home to Horatio, AR and be with his family, while his dad, Robert Wilkerson took chemo and passed away in September of that year. He would do anything for his family and help anyone who needed it.
He loved rocks and gems, had a knack for making jewelry. He found great pleasure in his hobbies. He learned to make false teeth. Josh loved his family and spent as much time as possible with them. He liked to read sci-fi books and spent way too much time on the computer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Kirk Clark; is grandparents, Roy and Hazel Clark. His stepfather Robert Wayne Wilkerson and step grandfather, Everett Wilkerson. His Grand Paw, Mike Baxter; Uncles, Bruce Baxter, Jim Baxter, Dan Baxter.
Josh is survived by his wife, Olga Tsarkova. His mother, Lila Wilkerson, of Haworth, OK; his brother, Jeremy Wilkerson of Haworth, OK; his nieces Jeremy’s daughters Hailey and Hannah Wilkerson; his grandmother, Bessie Potts; his Aunt Thorn and her husband Farrell Potts, their childeren Azelea, Cypress and Reid Potts. His Aunt Fran Baxter; and her sons Heath and Cameron Baxter as well as many other cousins and friends
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Haworth Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the funeral home.
