Joyce (Sullivan) Guest

Joyce Guest, 81 passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2023 at her granddaughter’s home in Garvin, OK. She was born February 22, 1942 at Tuscola, TX, the daughter of Roland Francis Sullivan and Anita Joyce Hallford Sullivan. Joyce married her husband Bill Guest in Dallas, TX on September 4, 1965 and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Joyce was the benefits coordinator at the Weyerhaeuser Sawmill in Wright City for several years and worked as a beautician in her younger years. She enjoyed square dancing with her best friend, Shirley Womack. Joyce loved playing the piano and singing in Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Valliant, OK and was affiliated with The Church in Millerton, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Guest in 2010; and a brother, John Sullivan.

Joyce is survived by her son, Ray Guest of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Christopher Guest and Chris Aniello of New York City and Elizabeth and Milton Harvison of Millerton, OK; great-grandchildren, Cody Harvison, Kevin Harvison, Peyton Harvison, Lyndon Harvison, Mollie Harvison and Kevin and Tyler Harvison; best friends, Shirley Womack of Millerton, OK and Donna Johnson of Duncanville, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 19, 2023 at The Church in Millerton, OK with Brady Guest officiating. Interment to follow at the Wheelock Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the funeral home.
