Juanita Brown

Juanita Brown, age 92 of Idabel, OK passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Idabel. She was born on March 22, 1929 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Elmer and Myrtle Abrial White Diggs. Juanita was a graduate of Idabel Gray High School.

Juanita was a homemaker. She worked for Dr. Rhea as a receptionist for several years and also at Rexall Drug for Rex Chandler. Juanita loved the outdoors which included camping with her family, taking care of her yard and 4 wheeling. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of the Idabel area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Brown; brothers, Elmer Diggs, Kenneth Diggs and an infant brother.

Juanita is survived by her sons, Larry Brown and Fabian Leos of Mesquite, TX, Jessie D Brown and Gina of Denton, TX and Robert D Brown and Shelley of Paris, TX; a daughter, Debbie Ernest and Tom of Little River Country Club, AR; sisters, Becky Billingsley and Jimmy of Idabel and LaVita Folken and Leland of Farmington, MN; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro Cole Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at the Canfield Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the funeral home.
