Kathy Darlene Williston, age 53, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2026, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, OK. She was born in Talihina Oklahoma on May 25, 1973, the daughter of James Thomas and Mary Belle (Tonihka) Williston.
Kathy was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile for everyone. She loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings. She was the favorite aunt by all her nieces and nephews.
She was an avid supporter of OU!
She was a faithful employee of Tysons’s for over 11 years. And she loved to play dominos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents: Tobias & Rosa Williston, and Jowicks Tonihka and Fannie Going Tonihka; siblings, Jimmy Dale Tonihka, Jerry Williston, Morris Williston, Robert Williston, Evelyn Williston, infant Robin Williston; nephews, Brandon Williston and Matthew Williston.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her children, Adrian Williston and wife Tamera of Idabel, OK, Megan Gomez of Idabel, OK, Cole Williston of Idabel; grandchildren, Candy, AJ, and Sierra Williston of Idabel, OK; siblings, Betty Maye of Idabel, OK Marilyn and Kyle Campbell of Haworth, Sharon and William Young of Haworth, David and Denise Williston of Idabel, James and Monique Williston of Idabel, Gloria Grant of Idabel. Kathy was blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
