Lance Allan Poafpybitty

Lance Allan Poafpybitty, age 50 passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born August 27, 1972 in Lawton, OK.

Lance worked as a CNA at Hill Nursing Home for several years and developed many close relationships with residents and coworkers during his time there.

A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing and painting. Lance was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was passionate about supporting his nephews playing sports.

Lance was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend who loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Poafpybitty; paternal grandparents, Rev. Carl Poafpybitty and Etheline; maternal grandparents, Leo Harley and Esther; stepmother, Dorothy Poafpybitty; and stepfather, Dalton James.

Lance leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Amelia James of Idabel, OK; brothers, Lionel Poafpybitty and Lisa of Idabel, OK, Garrett James and Crystal of Idabel, OK, Cameron Island of Lawton, OK, Justin Poafpybitty of Lawton, OK; sisters, Michele Poafpybitty of Lawton, OK, Sarah Poafpybitty of Idabel, OK, Julieanna Parton and Mike of Lawton, OK, Chelsea Poafpybitty of Lawton, OK; special friends, Steven Meier, Nanette Hudson, Scott Kelley and Mary Jones, Terri Humphreys;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the White Family Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the funeral home.
