Linda F Meredith Dorey

Linda (Meredith) Dorey, 74 of Idabel passed away at McKinney, TX on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born on December 2, 1948 in DeQueen, AR,  the daughter of Johnnie and Elizabeth (Burson) Meredith. Linda received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Linda spent over 20 years teaching for Idabel Public Schools, her final years were at the Idabel Middle School where she taught reading.

Linda loved fishing with her family, as well as out fishing them. She enjoyed gardening and reading in her spare time. Linda was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Idabel and a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Johnny Glenn Bowline.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donald W. Dorey of Idabel, OK; sons, William Dorey and Stacey of Idabel, OK, Wayne Dorey of Wyoming; brother, Johnnie Meredith and Sonia of Haworth, OK; sisters, Lorene Gardner and Butch of Conroe, TX, Lisa Meredith and Jamie of Valliant, OK; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Pauley Cemetery in Cerro Gordo, AR with Bro. Cole Bryan officiating.
