Linda Elaine Reed

Linda Elaine Reed, age 77, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born December 31, 1948, in Virginia Beach, VA, the daughter of Lewis A. Garrett, Sr. and Ruby B. Tillett

Linda was a talented artist who dedicated countless hours to painting and drawing, continually striving to improve her talent. She had a devoted love to all animals and she generously supported many animal charities.

In her free time, Linda could often be found working in her garden, enjoying the beauty of nature. Her love for music added another layer to her vibrant personality, as she found joy and inspiration in melodies that resonated with her spirit.

Above all, Linda loved her family with an unwavering passion. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories fill with laughter and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lewis Garrett Sr. and Ruby B. Tillett; sisters, Carol Strawhand and Gwen Shelley; brothers, Lewis Garrett Jr. and James Garrett; grandson, James Sorey.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary L. Allen and her husband, Dana; sons, Daniel David Sutton, Jr. and Christopher Lewis Tillett; grandchildren, Donald Grover, Kimberly Grover, Samantha Sorey, Leanda Nogel, Anna Tillett, and Lily Tillett; her brother, Ronald Garrett and his wife, Pat; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her legacy of artistry, compassion for animals, and devotion to her family will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private service will be held at a later date.
