Linda Maria Roberts

Linda Maria Adams Roberts born September 13, 1945 in Greenville, Mississippi to Minnie Adams and Horace Adams, Sr. departed her life on August 22, 2021 in Wadley Hospital.

Linda was a very loving person and very dedicated to her church. She joined World Wide Church of God at an early age and was a faithful member until her death. She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was a homemaker, interior decorator, Avon Representative and a cook at Tom Elementary School for over 20 years, where she was loved for her great cooking and big smile. She attended Pine Ridge School and graduated from Riverside. She met and married Courtney Roberts and to this union four boys and one girl was born.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one son Wayne Anthony Roberts; one sister, Minnie Adams Compton, two sisters-in-law, Irene and Marlene Adams and one daughter-in-law, Beatrice Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Stephanie Roberts of Lawton, OK; three sons, Gary Roberts of Idabel, OK, Juan Roberts of Tulsa, OK and Daryl Roberts of the home; three brothers, Horace Adams, Jr. and Herman Adams of Idabel, OK and Wayne (Rose) Adams of Guthrie, OK; three sisters, Anna and Kay Adams of Tom, OK and Wendy (Darren) Roberts of Clarksville, TX; a daughter-in-law, Angie Roberts of Edmond, OK; three brothers-in-law, Edward Scroggins of Ashdown, AR, Juan Monroe and Jose Monroe of Idabel, OK; a sister-in-law, Linda Scroggins of Idabel, OK and mother-in-law, Bernice Monroe of Idabel, OK; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, 7 nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Community Baptist Church in Tom, OK. Interment will follow at the St. Luke Cemetery in Tom.
