Loretta Barber Wilson

Loretta Barber WIlson, age 82 passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Idabel, OK. She was born on August 15, 1941 in Redland Community, OK, the daughter of William and Eula (Phillips) Sorrells. 

She was a homemaker. Enjoyed her Bible studies, taking care of her flowers and working crossword puzzles.  She was a member of the Redland Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family dearly and cherished the time she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ira barber and Bobby Wilson; her daughter, Angie Barber; and a brother, Harold Sorrells.

Loretta is survived by her sons, James Barber and Sarrah of Haworth, OK, Stanley Barber and Denise of Haworth, OK and William Barber of Haworth, OK; sister, Sarah Battenfield and Tom of Claremore, OK; sister-in-law, Nellie Sorrells of Idabel, OK; her little dog, Chance; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Redland Church of Christ with Michael Cox officiating. Interment will follow at the Pollard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2022 at the funeral home.
