Louis Santiago Obituary

Louis "AWOL" Santiago, 39, of the Goodwater Community, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Goodwater.

 

Louis was born on September 29, 1981 in Ulysses, Kansas. He attended Haworth Public Schools and was a 1999 graduate. Louis joined the National Guard while still in high school and received a medical discharge. It was after that Redneck gave him his nickname "AWOL". In 2003 he moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with the love of his life and later wife, Deb. They married on June 21, 2005 at the Royal Gorge Bridge, Canon City, CO. After which they made their home for the next 11 years in Idaho and Wyoming. He was very out-going and of the Church of Christ faith. Awol was a welder/fabricator for Red Mountain Metal Works alongside his good friend, Andy and Quade Perry. When he wasn’t working he spent time hunting, fishing, rafting and camping with his family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; two sisters, Catherine Caldwell and Stacy Tolliver; his mother-in-law, Della Hill.

 

Louis leaves his beloved wife, Deb, of the home; parents, Wayne and Ginny Tolliver, of Haworth; daughter, Kiwi of Haworth; son, Josh; grandson, Logan; brothers, Donald Tolliver and his wife, Shaylea, of Garvin, Robby Purcell of Garvin; nieces and nephews, Ethan and Emma Purcell, Tylea and Tatum Tolliver, Samantha Graham; father-in-law, Billy Hill of Haworth; brother and sisters-in-law, Dick and Shirley Pogue, Redneck and Pam; Chico and Pam; numerous other relatives and friends.

 

Graveside funeral services will be held on April 20, 2021 at 4:20 p.m., at the Philidelphia Cemetery in Goodwater.
