Lucelle Fennel Gary, age 74 of Ft. Smith, AR passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born on October 6, 1947 in Ringold, OK, the daughter of James Euba and Lois Stanley Fennel. She married Rogers Gary in Burkeville, TX on February 12, 1966.
Lucelle worked for the Broken Bow television station and became an accomplished news videographer and was also a news anchor for the KKBI radio station. She enjoyed quilting, painting ceramics and was normally involved in multiple crafts. She loved her children and grandchildren especially spending time with them. Lucelle lived in McCurtain County most of her life, moving to Ft. Smith in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Euba and Lois Fennel and her great-granddaughter, Everi Brannan.
Lucelle is survived by her husband, Rogers Gary of Ft. Smith, AR; daughters, Rogena Brown and Michael of Ft. Smith, AR and Dana Bray Smith of Bogata, TX; grandchildren, Kyle Skelton and Melissa of Ft. Smith, AR, Jesse Whisenhunt of Lipsic, OH, Denea Archer and Justin of Claremont, NC, Kara Smith of Bogata, TX and Taneesha Smith of Bogata, TX; 7 great-grandchildren and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Ringold Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
