Lucille Pogue, age 94, longtime resident of the Shinewell Community passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Idabel, OK. She was born on April 19, 1926 in the Goodwater Community, OK, the daughter of Joseph Sidney McGough and Mary Frances Segraves McGough.
Lucille was a homemaker. She went to work on her 18th birthday at the Lone Star Ammunition Plant making bombs for WWII. She worked as a nurse's aide at Memorial Heights and also as a home health provider for several years.
Lucille was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed raising a garden and taking care of her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, RF Pogue; sons, Robert Pogue, Frank Pogue and Howard Pogue; brothers, Eugene McGough, Nathan McGough, Willie McGough and Lex McGough; and sisters, Mary Simpson, Ellen Slabaugh, Alice Talley, Ethel Farley and Winifred Garrison.
Lucille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Shirley Pogue of the Goodwater Community, OK; daughter-in-law, Sandy Pogue of the Shinewell Community, OK; grandchildren, Pam Hill, Billy Pogue, Karen Segraves and Matthew Pogue; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Pauley Cemetery in Little River County Arkansas with Victor Balagbagan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation.
