Lula Mae (Givens) Cubit

Lula Mae Cubit, age 67, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born December 8, 1956 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of John Givens and Mary Katherine Dillihunt.

Lula Mae was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Hill Nursing Home for 45 years. She was devoted to her patients and made many friends over the years working there. She enjoyed traveling and shopping for shoes, clothes and Bath and Body Works.  

Lula Mae loved her family and spending time with them. She was a member of the Lynn Lane Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of Idabel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Shirley Ann King and Tongen Yuvette Hawkins.

Lula Mae leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Dadrian Cubit and Adina Burrell of Valliant, OK and Dontel Cubit of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Daekwon Rasheed Cubit and Kajaira of Broken Bow, OK. Dayon Samaura Cubit of North Carolina and Da "Sha Miah Cubit of Vian, OK; great-grandchildren, Daelyn Raedrion Cubit and Kalayah Mae Cubit both of Broken Bow, OK; a brother, Melvin Hawkins of Idabel, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Lynn Lane Church of Christ with Tom Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Williamston Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the funeral home.
