Luz "Lucy" Maria Delgado

Luz Maria “Lucy” Delgado, age 60 passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on February 13, 1964 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Felipe Martinez Amador and Margarita Villafaña Lopez. Lucy was married to Juan Delgado Bustos for over 25 years until his passing in 2020.

In 1993 Lucy left Mexico and moved to Idabel, OK where she made this her home and touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She was a devout Catholic and found great joy in her faith and was deeply committed to her church.

She cherished her role as a Mom and embraced her title of “Momma Lucy” with pride and affection. Lucy had a passion for baking and enjoyed shopping, reading and keeping her home clean and welcoming. Her strong work ethic was a testament to her dedication and resilience.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Juan Delgado Bustos.

Lucy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Priscilla Delgado, grandson, Valentino Delgado; nieces, Denise Segura, Bianca Segura, Jessica Salazar (Jose), Mauricio, Luis, Eliana, Samuel; nephew, Eric Segura (Abigail), Alaia and Zaira; sister, Maria Martinez (Jose); her beloved fur baby, Chica; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 15, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Idabel with Fr. Carlos Loaisa officiating.
