Margaret McKinney

Margaret McKinney, age 76 of the Tom Community, OK passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Texarkana, TX. She was born September 13, 1946 in Clebit, OK, the daughter of Joel and Selma (Maytubbi) Holt.

Margaret loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an employee of Red River Army Depot for over eighteen years and worked for Choctaw Nation over twenty-five years. She was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was affiliated with the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DeRoy McKinney; brothers, Bert Holt, Nathaniel Holt, Nathan Holt, Melvin Maytubbi and sister, Mona Salinas.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory sons, Anthony Fox of Tom, OK, Donovan McKinney and Kimberly of Broken Bow, OK; daughter, Deirdre Morris and Brandon of Smithville, OK; brothers, Joel Holt of Tom, OK, Alan Holt and Beth of Shattuck, OK; sister, Juanita Lajeunesse of Idabel, OK; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the White Family Funeral Chapel with Edgel Samuel officiating. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the funeral home.
