Mary Kathryn (Rollins) Thrasher

Mary Kathryn Thrasher, age 93, of Wright City passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 3, 1929 in Smith-Lee Oklahoma to Andrew O. and Inez C. (Mize) Rollins.

Mary K. graduated from Bokchito High School in 1947. She and James J Thrasher were married on February 3, 1948 in Sherman, TX. They moved from Bokchito to Idabel in 1963.

Mary began her banking career right out of high school and retired from First State Bank of Idabel as a Vice-President in December of 1997 after 29 years of service. She and James moved to Wright City shortly after her retirement, where she resided for the last 20 years, and was a member of the Wright City First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Fritz and Eula Mae Walls; sister and brother-in-law, Nelma and Boyd Caldwell; husband, James J. Thrasher; and a granddaughter, Jennifer (Thrasher) Cogburn.

Mary K. is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James A and Jayne Thrasher of Wright City, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Charlie Webster of Morrisville, MO; grandchildren, Tana Thrasher, T.J. (Bailey) Bryant, Kayleigh (Cory) Fisk and Faryn Webster; 9 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; two special friends, Berneda Bell and Myra McBrayer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Slater Memorial Cemetery in Wright City, OK with Bro. Aaron Strange officiating.
