Mary Ann (Smith) Harmon

Mary Ann Harmon, age 84 passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on April 1, 1937 in Blanco County, Texas, the daughter of W.P. and Jewell McClendon Smith.

Mary Ann began working at the Idabel National Bank in 1967 and retired in 1999. In her 32 years she served as a teller/cashier and was an assistant Vice-President. Prior to her banking career Mary Ann was a telephone operator. 

She was a founding member of the ARK of McCurtain County. Her passion was taking care of and loving her animals. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking pictures.

Mary Ann had the most tender and good heart of anyone you have ever met. She was the ultimate friend and could be trusted with anything.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Phil Smith Jr. and Duane Smith; sisters, Wynona Valentine Smith, Barbara Jean Smith and Ellen Jane Wall.

Mary Ann is survived by her special friend, Vickie King of Idabel, OK; a daughter, Pam Youngblood, brother, Don Smith and Janie of Kerrville, TX; sister, Patsy Laskoski of Idabel, OK; her work family from Idabel National Bank; her Church family from Immanuel Baptist; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the White Family Funeral Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Mickey Haley and Curtis Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
