Merry Ann Murphy

Merry Ann Murphy, Sr. 63 passed from this life on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Pittsburg, KS. Merry was born December 24, 1960 in Talihina, OK to Lee and Opal (McKinney) Murphy.

Merry was a beautician who enjoyed cutting hair and engaging warmly with her customers. She found joy from visiting thrift stores and spending time with her beloved dog, Bob. Merry was a member of the Waterhole Methodist Church.

Her family, including her nieces and nephews, held a special place in her heart, especially her nephew Tyler. Merry's legacy is cherished by those who knew her as a loving individual, whose life was a reflection of her kind and open-hearted nature.

Merry is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Darrough and Opal Murphy; paternal grandparents, William T. and Ella C. Murphy; maternal grandfather, Jacob McKinney; sister, Carol Sue Murphy.

Merry leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Billy Murphy of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Kathleen Murphy of Dallas, TX; nephew and nieces, Tyler Murphy, Carman Murphy, Cailee Murphy, Jessie Thompson, Jo Jo Bibi, Jasin Bibi, Richard Lee; great-nephew and great-nieces, Aiden Lee, Ella Carmen, Rainey Lynn, Noelle Lynn; many other relatives and friends.

No services will be held per Merry’s request.
