Nancy Lyndon Obituary

Nancy Kay Huckabee Lyndon, age 75 of Plano, TX passed away Monday, August 10, 2020, in McKinney, TX.  The daughter of Olen Wesley and Mary Eutive Huckabee, she was born in Idabel, OK on October 20, 1944.  She was a graduate of Idabel Gray High School and went on to Southeastern Oklahoma to pursue a major in Business Administration.

In 1967, Nancy moved to Houston to pursue a career in property and casualty insurance, becoming a licensed independent insurance agent and also, received her real estate license.  Living in Houston, she was an avid Houston Astros fan.

In 1986, she moved to Dallas and married Robert ‘Bob’ Lyndon.  She joined him in growing his marketing and advertising company.  They enjoyed entertaining family and friends, dancing, traveling, and caring for their dogs.

In 2008, she chose to pursue her dream of working full time in her real estate career and she continued that career  until she could no longer do so.  She was very detailed, took copious notes and helped her clients obtain their real estate goals.

The church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano is where Nancy was an active member.  She went to classes and liked being a greeter at church services.  She loved her church family.  And, they loved her.  With her illness this past year and a half, members gave of their precious time to visit with her weekly and many prayers were prayed for her daily.  And, so many other things and events were done to contribute to her quality of life. We are so thankful for you!

She enjoyed having lunch with the Single Sisters’ group.  She enjoyed reading and listening to self-help authors.  She liked to plant in her yard and walk her dog, Stormie, in her neighborhood.  She knew so many of her neighbors who lived around her.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Olen Wesley and Mary Eutive Huckabee; her husband, Robert Lyndon; brother-in-law, Larry Dane; nephew-in-law, Dane Williamson; and brother-in-law, Dick Logan.

Nancy is survived by her siblings, Gloria Dane Logan, Idabel, OK and Wayne (and Tam) Huckabee, Houston, TX.  Survived by four nieces, Regina (and Rusty) Prim, Plano, TX; Andrea Williamson (Clint Clark and son Carter), Idabel, OK and her children Michael Sharp, Honey Grove, TX and Ty (and Marissa) Williamson, Calera, OK and their children Connor and Baylor; Leigh (and Casey) Rapier, Durant, OK and their children Austin and Aniston; and Lindsay Dane, Durant, OK and her son Chet Austin.  Survived by nephew-in-law, Bobby Snoek, Reno, NV.  Survived by other relatives and many friends.
