Olin Dewey Shelton

         Olin Dewey Shelton, age 77 passed this life Sunday, February 23, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Haworth, OK.

          Olin was born on July 8, 1942 in Jade, OK, the son of Clarence Jackson and Myrtle (VanScoder) Shelton the 7th of 12 children. He graduated from Haworth High School the class of 1961. He attended college in Wilburton and then SAU where he obtained his Associates degree in Business Management. He started working at the Weyerhaeuser papermill in Valliant in 1971, retiring in 2002.

           He was the most honest man and always told the truth no matter what. He enjoyed traveling to Alaska site seeing. He loved spending time with his family and the memories that he shared with them. He loved his Savior and honored Him by reading his word.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clifford, Emmett and Vernon Shelton; three sisters, Inez Brumfield, Betty Watson and Della Hill.

            Olin is survived by his wife; Jimmie Ann Shelton of the home; two sons, Kevin Shelton of Dierks, AR, Keith and Irena Shelton of Jade, OK, Terry Simmons and Kim of Cerro Gorodo, OK; three daughters, Debbie Berold and Tony of Ashdown, AR, Teresa and James McDougal of Ashdown, AR, Kim and Todd Carver of Lockesburg, AR; three brothers, Charles Shelton and Barbara of Marshall, TX, Roger and Judy Shelton of Jade, OK, Larry and Linda Shelton of Horatio, AR; two sisters, Evelean Davis of Redland, OK, Shirley Davis and Cy of Eagletown, OK; twenty-one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

            Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Redland Church of Christ in Redland, OK with Bro. Bobby Tatum and Cy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Philadelphia Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the funeral home.
