Ora Austin Farmer

Ora Austin Farmer, age 77 of Idabel, OK passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2022 at Paris, TX. He was born on May 14, 1945 in Haworth, OK to Curtis and Essie (Wilkerson) Farmer. Austin was a 1963 graduate of Haworth High School.

Austin served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970. He was employed at the Red River Army Depot.  

He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family, fishing and reading western novels.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sonda Farmer in 2010; his brother, R.C. Farmer and his sister Sue Brock.

Austin leaves to cherish his memory his son; Chad Farmer and Charlene of Bruce, FL; daughters, Amy Caraway and Victor of Hugo, OK, Melissa Gillette and Seb of Hugo, OK and Dee Dee Townsend of Brandon, MS; sister, Julia Manor of New Boston, TX; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the White Family Chapel. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.
