Pamela Jean (Shankles) Baxter

Pamela Jean Baxter, age 60 passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on December 28, 1965 in Dallas, TX the daughter of Troy and Linda (Shankles) McDaniel.

Pam was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She attended Haworth Church of Christ. Pam loved with a passion and found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Troy McDaniel; husband, Bruce Baxter; maternal grandparents, Nelson and Hazel Shankles, John and Mattie McDaniel; special uncle, Bill Shankles.

She is survived by her mother, Linda McGough of Idabel, OK; daughters, Brittany Endsleys of Idabel, OK,Chelsey Shankles of Idabel, OK, Courtnie Shankles of Idabel, OK; brother, Willie McGough of Harris, OK; grandchildren, Makyna, Laken, Cal, Jace, Jaelyn, Kynzli, Madden; special friend, Tim Toppings; cousins,  relatives, and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
