Pat (Turbyfill) Dean

Pat Dean, age 80 passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born July 29, 1945 in Idabel, the daughter of Perry Lee Turbyfill and Mary Leona Dollar Turbyfill. She married Jimmy Dean on June 8, 1970 in Idabel, OK.

Pat was a laundry tech at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for over 33 years. An avid music fan her favorite being the EAGLES. Pat loved taking care of her cats and drinking her sweet tea.

Pat's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything. Not only was she granny but was responsible for raising them as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Turbyfill and Perry Turbyfill; and a nephew, Jimmy Wayne Turbyfill.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dean of the home; a daughter, Teresa Dean of Idabel, OK; her grandchildren, Robert and Brooke Dean of the Holly Creek Community, Perry and Rachel Dean of Haworth, OK; Jimmie Lynn Short of Idabel, OK; great-grandchildren, Jaxton Dean, Kase Dean, Payton Dean, Taylor Short, Ruger Short, Tinsley Short and Jessie Short; additional family, Kathryn Tisho and her girls Kallen, Rilynn and Kopelin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the White Family Chapel. Interment will follow at the Canfield Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the funeral home.
