Paul Kelly Vaughn

Paul Kelly Vaughn entered his eternal home on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the age of 54 in Idabel, OK. Born to Marty and Kay, his arrival being anticipated by his Big Brother Teddy. Paul lived a life of passion and dedication to those he loved.

Paul played Bulldog football and baseball and was a proud graduate of Valliant High School, class of 1989.

He began his work career right out of high school at Weyerhaeuser, Valliant working for BE&K Construction Co. Paul traveled with the company until he began driving a truck at which point he decided to come home. He worked for local industries and was currently working for Tri Lakes Services at the IP Paper Mill in Valliant.

Paul's latest companion, his dog Chunk spent many hours in his 79 Jeep or more recently his mid 80's Model GMC Sierra Classic, riding in the hills, on the river, or just out shooting at the 40 ft hole. You would never see him without his companion unless he was working. Chunk was always with him, most of the time in the back of his rig, wherever it was. 

Paul was a simple man and material wealth was not on his priority list. If you knew him at all, you knew that just by the vehicles he drove. As long as they got him from point A to point B he was good. Paul's wealth was in his relationship with his heavenly father, his cherished family and beloved friends.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories for his mom, Kay; his brother, Ted and wife, Toy; nieces and nephews, Brantley and his wife Allison Vaughn, Dusty Vaughn, Nikki and husband, Jason Breshears, Emilee Wicker, Jared and Olivia Wicker; great-nieces and nephews, Landry and Jagger Vaughn, Harper, Lyndi and Vallee Breshears, Isaiah and Haiven Jackson, Hayes Wicker and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Dad, Martin Vaughn and a brother, Chad Vaughn.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the White Family Chapel with Casey Breshears officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
