Phyllis Kaye Edwards, 77 passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born January 15, 1944 in Oklahoma City.
Phyllis Kaye was a retired social worker having worked for the OK Dept. of Human Services for several years. She was a loving mother, a devoted sister and loved spending time with her family. Phyllis Kaye loved animals especially the many special dogs she had over the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Edwards; mother, Maxine Roberts Edwards; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jim Chauvin; step-mother, Juanita Edwards; and a step-sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Danny Daniels.
Phyllis Kaye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Deanna Minter of Wake Forest, NC; her grandchildren, Carter Minter and Camden Minter both of Wake Forest, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Gail Batchelor and Tony of Golden, OK; step-sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Randle and Windle of Valliant, OK; a special nephew, Scotty LeCompte of Idabel, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Denison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the funeral home.
