Robert “Bob” Blakley, 81 of Idabel, OK passed away January 21, 2022 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX. Bob was born February 23, 1940 in Connersville, Indiana, the son of Audrey Marie Rogers Blakley and Joseph Blakley.
Bob Served his country in the United States Airforce and was an Air Craft Mechanic for the Airforce for 40 years. He loved his family and was known by many names, Robert Bob, Grandpa, Pop and probably many more. He was known as Pop to all the officers at the Idabel Police Department. Bob enjoyed fishing and took meticulous care of his yard. Daryl knew he couldn’t mow the yard to Bob’s expectations.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Joseph Blakley; stepfather, Paul Schular; brothers and sisters, twin sister, Barbara Sue, Roy Blakley, Bill Blakley, twins, Gerald and Jerald Blakley, Wanda Stearns and Thelma Strait; one son, Steven Blakley and one grandson, Kenny’s son, Kyle Lee.
Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Daryl Blakley and wife, Kasey, Teresa Bell and husband, Brandon, Kenny Blakley and Steven Paul Blakley; grandchildren, Riley, Ethan, Tinley, Nyah, Mia, Lucas, Danny, Paige, Angie and numerous great and great great grandkids. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at White Family Funeral Home.
