Robert Rex Hicks

Robert “Bob” Rex Hicks, age 88 passed on Monday, January 20, 2025 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born July 4, 1936, the son of Louise Hicks in Broken Bow, OK and spent most of his life in McCurtain County.

Bob was a member of Choctaw Baptist Church in Idabel. He had a passion for aviation as a pilot and enjoyed flying. He liked to tinker with things, taking them apart and putting them back together. Bob enjoyed being a long-haul truck driver and getting to see different parts of the United States. He loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Hicks; his daughter, LaDonna Bradford; nine brothers, Gregory, Virgil, Nelson, LeRoy, Thurman, Nataniel, Chuck, Ervin, Earl; and sister Lucille Dean.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Roberta and Larry Watson of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Lari and Lee Northcutt of Caney, OK, Cassie and Max Hoshnick of Gilbert, AZ, Kari and Steven Peterson of Kiowa, OK, Matt and Amanda Bradford of Kiowa, OK; his sister, Patsy and Michael Pilant of Broken Bow, OK; nephew Greg Ishcomer of Idabel, OK; nieces Tara Hopson of Broken Bow, OK, Dian and Don Johnson of Idabel, OK; great nephew Gage Hopson of Broken Bow, OK; special friend Karen Boyett of Rattan, OK; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at White Family Funeral Chapel Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at McGee Chapel Cemetery.
