Robert Taylor Sr., age 74 passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Hot Springs, AR. He was born on August 7, 1948 in Valdosta, GA, the son of Etheridge and Nancy (Boyd) Taylor. Robert married Patricia Brown on February 12, 1971.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with his son and his family.
He never met a stranger and was always helpful whenever he could assist anyone in need. Robert loved his children and grandchildren with a passion and was also attached to his small dog, Little Bit. Robert lived in McCurtain County for fifteen years, coming from Florida; although his most recent seven years he lived in Dierks, AR where his son also resided.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia (Brown) Taylor; daughter, Heather Overbeck; five brothers and six sisters.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert and Angela Taylor, Jr. of Dierks, AR and Calup Anthony Taylor and Marie of Idabel, OK; daughters, Robin Shulte of Nashville, AR and Lisa Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren; Destiny Rodgers and Kevin of Nashville, AR, Cheyenne Beecroft and Derek, Calup Taylor, Jr., Christopher Taylor, Joshlyn Shute and William Shute; one great-grandchild; special niece, Deede Reed; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Holly Creek Cemetery in Holly Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the White Family Funeral Chapel.
