Ronnie Jones

Ronnie Jones, age 85 passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born May 5, 1937 in Idabel, OK, the son of Coy and Freda Pugh Jones. Ronnie was a 1955 graduate of Idabel Gray High School. He married his wife Carolyn on June 25, 1982 in the Harris Community, OK.
 
Ronnie was a rancher. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ronnie loved to visit with friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Della Elfers; a niece, Robin Garner; and a nephew, Brett Brinkley.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carolyn Jones of the home; son, J Paul Russell and Stacy of Ada, OK; daughters, Pam Jackson and Tracy of Idabel, OK and Paityn Battiest of the home; sister, Laura Nell Brinkley and Larry of Idabel, OK and Jean Garner of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Kaci Donn Russell, Buck Russell, Kalan Russell, Seth Russell, Clay Balthrop and Caden Balthrop; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside funeral services will be  held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Denison Cemetery with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow.
