Rudolph Tapley

Rudolph McCoy Tapley, age 94 passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Clarksville, TX. He was born on October 19, 1927 in Cerrogordo, OK, the son of Willis and Alice (Doan) Tapley. Rudolph was a 1945 graduate of Haworth High School. He married Billie Bumgardner, his wife of 74 years in Yuma, AZ on June 5, 1948.

Rudolph served in the Army from 1945 to 1947 and was honorably discharged after two years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. Rudolph worked as a farmer/rancher and was employed by McCurtain County District # 2 for several years. He was a member of the Haworth Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

Rudolph loved his wife, children and grandchildren with a passion. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gertrude Tapley, Gladys Morris, Ina Hill, Cressie Jackson and Erma Pierce; brothers, Earl Tapley, Sid Tapley and James Donald Tapley.

Rudolph is survived by his wife, Billie Tapley of the home; son, Jimmy Dale Tapley of Idabel, OK; daughters, Kathy Hall and Ronnie of the Redland Community, OK and Teresa Jo Tapley of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Rachel Osbourne-Scaff, Jerrod Hall and Kimberly and Danielle Frady; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A private graveside service was held.
