Sandra "Sam" A (Friend) Misener

Sandra Ann "Sam" Misener, age 78 of Haworth, OK passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Idabel, OK.  She was born on October 31, 1946 in Moon, OK, the daughter of Abner Dewey Friend and Lucy Dollar Friend. 

    Sam was a retired poultry worker. She was an avid homemaker and loved cooking. A Navy wife for several years, living abroad while her husband served. Sam enjoyed fishing and also her time spent at the food pantry at the Moon Church.
 
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Misener; a son, Scott Dewayne Misener; great-granddaughter, Caylynn Dawn Misener; brothers, James Friend Sr., Harvey Friend, and Wilburn Friend; and sisters, Etta Mae Friend, Lola Mae Friend, Lottie Friend, Bernice Friend and Flora Mae Pond. 

    Sam is survived by her son, Carl Misener of Haworth, OK; grandchildren, Cody Allen Misener, Courtney Bailey, Christopher Bailey, Kaylee Bailey, Shaina Smoke, Skyler Smoke, and Jayden Smoke; great-grandchildren, Case Anthony Misener, Chance Allen Misener, Cole Albner Misener and Caylee Misener; brother, AD Friend of Arkinda, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
