Sharon (Weathers) Wade

Sharon Weathers Wade,  85,  passed away on July 12 at her home in Monroe, Georgia. 

Mrs. Wade was born in Tom, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Jeff and Ann Weathers. 

Sharon was married to Don Wade who proceeded her in death and was also a long time resident of Tom.   

Sharon was a member of the Tom Baptist Church after returning to Tom following her retirement from Little River Memorial Hospital in Ashdown. 

Sharon lead the X-ray department at LRMH in Ashdown for almost 40 years and raised her family of five children in Ashdown.   

Sharon loved her family and friends and was always excited to visit Tom and Ashdown after moving away due to health reasons.   Sharon was known for her lively conversation and her knowledge of the communities she lived and worked in.  She was very much a fixture for those in Little River County who depended on the local hospital for medical care.   Sharon was a member of the Tom High School girls basketball team and sought after by her friends for transportation as her dad provided her access to a car at an early age. 

Sharon is survived by her daughters Jerri Carver Center of Sherman, TX, Carol Carver Lindsey and her husband Blake of Monroe, GA and son, Donny Wade and his wife Patti of Ashdown, AR along with nine(9) grandchildren and a growing list of great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Tom Baptist Church in Tom, OK.   Burial will follow at the Tom Cemetery.
