Steven "Sam" McClure

Steven "Sam" McClure, age 54 of Durant, OK passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019. He was born on December 31, 1964 in Talihina, OK, the son of Alexander Ward and Dony McClure.

Sam was currently working at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, OK. His hobby was work and for much of his life he maintained two jobs. Sam was a longtime employee of both Save A Lot Foods and also Ace hardware in Idabel. Sam was a very outgoing person and talked and laughed with everyone he knew. He was affiliated with the Holiness Assembly Church in Idabel and had lived the last several years in the Durant area.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Marcy Bridges and husband, Mitchell of Idabel, OK; sister, Evelyn Lewis and husband, Nathan of Broken Bow, OK; brother, Chris Martinez and wife, Jessica of Broken Bow, OK; his former wife and mother of his daughter, Angela McClure of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, DeAnna Cravens, Natasha Bridges, Christopher Bridges, Daphney Bridges and Isabella Bridges; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,  November 8, 2019 at the Holiness Assembly Church in Idabel, OK with Rev. Philip Snow officiating. Interment will follow at the Philadelphia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November  7, 2019, at the funeral home.
