Sue Carol (Johnson) McGough

Sue McGough, age 86 passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home in Haworth, OK. She was born on July 18, 1934 in the Hollycreek Community, OK, the daughter of Jay and Effie Johnson.

Sue was a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and friends and family were always welcome at her home for a meal or just a visit. Sue was a woman of prayer and along with her late husband was associated with the Shinewell Community Church for 19 years and also worshiped at the Haworth Assembly of God Church.

Sue was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph “Lex” McGough; and a grandson, Samuel “Buster” Brewer.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Marian “Sis’  Miller and Junior, of the Union Grove Community, OK, Carolyn “Kay” Wilkerson and Everett, of the Goodwater Community, OK, Sharon Brewer and Ted of Ada, OK and Jan and Charlie Hill, of Hochatown, OK; sons, Patrick McGough and Cynthia of Edmond, OK and Gary McGough and Farisa, of Duncanville, TX; grandchildren, Krystal (Miller) Weeks, Ben Miller, Zack Miller, Clint Wilkerson, Cassie (Wilkerson) Edmondson, Laura (Brewer) James, Ashley (Bean) Frazier, Breck McGough, Keely McGough, Caleb Powell and Raemee Powell; great-grandchildren, Ryan Weeks, Sariah Weeks, Lex Miller, Connor Daniel, Gavin Daniel, Hunter Wilkerson, Jocelyn James, Clayton James, Ashdyn Frazier, and Addyson Frazier; special friends, Normie Ebert, Dru Edmondson and Jeanie Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Haworth Assembly of God Church in Haworth, OK. Interment will follow at the Pauley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the funeral home.
