Lifelong Haworth resident, Ted (Sam) Cox Jr., entered his heavenly home on November 21, 2020.
Ted was born in Haworth on May, 30, 1947, to Ted Sr. and Katherine (Baxter) Cox. On January 20, 1965, Ted and Claudean Bates were united in Holy matrimony in Idabel, OK. After working as a helper with the 798 Union, Ted started welding on pipeline construction in 1967. His work took him all over the country and he worked with and met many friends along the way. Ted adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a true family man. When he wasn’t working, Ted enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and later in life watching Youtube on his Ipad. His laughter and love will be truly missed by his entire family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Cox; sisters, Lorree Pierce, Alene Fuller and Nell Powell.
Ted leaves to honor his life, his wife, Claudean, of the home; three children, Susan Dillard and her husband, Scott, of Claremore, OK, Ted Cox III and his wife, Kristi, of Redland, Chad Cox and his wife, Le-Ann, of Union Grove; seven grandchildren, Arron Dillard, Cassie Jones, Ryan Cox, Collin Cox, Colton Cox, Rance Cox, Dustin Cox; seven great-grandchildren, Rilley, Josie, Xander, Lukas, Ian, Ivan, Piper; one brother, Lem Cox and his wife, Lu, of Tom; one sister, Hattie Wendt and her husband, Joe, of Antlers; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to Covid-19 the family ask that friends and family please just visit at the cemetery after service.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Haworth Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Owens officiating.
