Thomas "Tom" Dean Coberley

Thomas "Tom" Dean Coberley, age 79 passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on June 23, 1942 in Medicine Lodge, KS, the son of Harvey Monroe Coberley and Evelyn Wright Coberley. Tom married Linda Sanford in Sylacauga, AL on March 16, 1963.
         

Tom was a veteran of the US Air Force. He owned and operated Tom's Automotive Repair in Idabel, OK for 28 years. Tom was an avid golfer, a member of the Idabel Country Club and a car racing enthusiast. He was a member of the Sweet Home Church of Christ and had lived in Idabel for 41 years moving from Texarkana, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Don Coberley, Lyle Coberley and Jack Coberley.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Linda Coberley of the home; sons, Larry Coberley of Tyler, TX and Greg and Denise Coberley of Sulphur Bluff, TX; a daughter, Kristie Coberley of Idabel, OK; a brother, Jim and Ruby Coberley of Joplin, MO; a sister, Doris and Donald Ray Schlessman of Pineville, MO; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Coberley; grandchildren, Cassie and Kinsey Ram, Jeffery Coberley, Jeremy and Katelyn Coberley, Meagan and Caleb Raine, Landon and Courtney Coberley, Thomas Coberley, Charles Wilkinson, Nathan Wilkinson and Matthew Wilkinson; great-grandchildren, Karson Coberley and Mason Coberley; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery in Sulphur Bluff, TX with Bert Gross officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the funeral home
