Toby Dan Hess

Toby Dan Hess, age 61 passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at his home in Garvin, OK. He was born on July 6, 1964, in Texarkana, TX the son of Sam Hess and Lazelle Fulmer. On February 15, 1995, Toby married Angie Wilkerson in DeQueen, AR.

Toby was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed a good fishing and hunting trip. He found peace in the tranquility he found in the midst of nature. Toby was a talented plumber for many years who could always be depended on to do a good job.

Toby was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family with a passion and above all else, spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Hess; his mother Lazelle “Moe” Fulmer; sister, Sharon Seay; brother-in-law, Jim Bland.

Toby leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 31 years, Angie Hess of Garvin, OK; son, Daniel Hess of Portland, OR; daughter, Brandi Hess and son-in-law Cody Cole of Panama, OK; grandchildren, Chase George & Avery George of Garvin, OK; brother, Gary Hess and Bertha of Garvin, OK; sister, Carol Bland of Dallas, TX.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Garvin Cemetery with Jimmy Smalling officiating.
