Trilla Bain Frazier, age 74 passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on February 14, 1946 in Valliant, OK, the daughter of Clarence and Virgia Tutt Bain. Trilla was a 1964 graduate of Broken Bow High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Trilla had many passions one of which was healthcare. She was the Asst. Hospital Administrator at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for over 35 years and through her vision and hard work helped the hospital through some challenging times. After leaving the hospital she continued to advance healthcare in the County by helping to start Kiamichi Family Medical Center of which she served as CEO for 15 years. Trilla is one of the reasons we still have an active hospital today and her legacy in healthcare for our area will not be forgotten. Upon retiring Trilla helped to form a private grant writing company known as CHC Focus LLC of which she was still operating.
Her community was very important to her and Trilla was very active in it. She served on the board of the McCurtain County Historical Society and the Idabel Chamber of Commerce. She was a 2 year trustee for the SE Oklahoma Library System. Trilla was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel and was a lifetime resident of the County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Kenneth Sim Frazier.
Trilla is survived by her son, Kevin Frazier of Columbus Junction, IA; her daughter and son-in-law, Kendall and Erik Bock of Lebanon, TN; grandchildren, Justin Frazier and his wife, Rayna of Mediapolis, IA, Josh Frazier of Columbus Junction, IA and Jackson Frazier of Nashville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, JW and Phyllis Bain of Sherman, TX; a special friend, Patrick Hoggard of Tulsa, OK; several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Valliant Cemetery with Bro. Joe Voyles officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the funeral home.
