Vicki Luman Obituary

Vicki Pugh Luman went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was born on December 3, 1951 in Paris, TX, the daughter of William and Audrey Cleo Pugh.

Vicki graduated as a member of Phi Gamma Gamma sorority from Hobbs High School, in Hobbs, NM in 1970 where she met and maintained her best friends for life – Tawana Timberlake, Patti Payne, Brucene Robinson and Sandy Sage. She attended Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she worked and had a successful 40-year career as a Nursing Home Administrator where she was licensed in four states.

Vicki lived an adventurous and fun-filled life by living throughout the USA and traveling to different countries with her job as secretary to the Captain with the Princess Cruise Line – where her passionate love for water began. She made friends worldwide and amazingly maintained these special relationships over the many miles and years. Whether traveling or at home she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and even a more devoted fan of her favorite quarterback Brett Favre. Her love of sports, horse racing and those who participated in them, was a constant source of joy for her. Vicki’s faith in the Lord has been her constant guide through every season of her life and was her true comfort in death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Sue Hill; brothers, Jerrel Pugh, Wayne Pugh, Jimmie Pugh and Larry Don Pugh; and nephews Cary Pugh and Larry Pugh.

Vicki leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sisters, Linda Prim of Sulphur Springs, TX and Neta Pugh of Tyler, TX; her sisters-in-law Patti Pugh of Idabel, OK and Caroline Jones Pugh of Idabel, OK; her nephews Rusty Prim and wife Regina of Dallas, TX, Jerry Pugh of Idabel, OK and Chance Pugh and wife Stacy of Idabel, OK; nieces Karla Hardin and husband Phil of Fairhope, AL; Pam Bryant and son Devin of Greenville, SC, Kelle Hill and husband Steve of Dallas, TX; great nieces Audrey Hardin of Dallas, TX, Abigail Hardin of Palm Springs, CA and numerous other beautiful great-nieces and relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the White Family Funeral Home on Monday, August 16, 2021 and a private burial will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 am at Denison Cemetery.
