Wayne Allen Carter

Wayne Allen Carter, age 42, of Idabel, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at DeKalb, TX. Wayne was born October 15, 1982 in Paris, Texas the son of David and Vickie Carter.

Wayne was a man who truly enjoyed life, often found at auctions where he searched for hidden treasures and driving his truck which gave him a sense of freedom.

He cherished spending time with his cousins and friends, creating lasting memories. Known for his warm personality, Wayne never met a stranger. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Wayne was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gevena Pugh and Dee Pugh; paternal grandparents, Curtis Carter and Norma Carter; aunt, Dorothy, cousin, Cody Carter, and several other family members.

Wayne is survived by his father, David Carter and Kathy of Garvin, OK; mother, Vickie McKinsey and Jackie of Broken Bow, OK; his brother, Leo; sisters, Jennifer, Kimberly and Katie; uncles, Kenneth and Bobbie Carter of Millerton, OK, Lewis Carter of Dallas, TX; aunts, Margaret and Bobby Graham; and his precious cat, Sunshine; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at White Family Funeral Home, Idabel, Oklahoma. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at White Family Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.
