William Don Farley

William Don Farley passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 with his loving wife by his side. He was born August 29, 1947 in Haworth, Oklahoma, the son of William Victor Farley and Donnie Virginia Stout. He married Shirley Ann Ryan, his wife of 56 years in Redland, Oklahoma on May 28, 1966. 
William Don attended and graduated from Haworth schools in 1965. He also went to school in 38 different states due to his father working the pipe line. He moved to Tuttle, Oklahoma in 1968 where he raised two children, Gregory Don Farley of Haworth, Oklahoma and Anngela Kay Whittington of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Upon retirement in 1995 he returned to Redland/ Goodwater area.
William Don worked in the Oil field where he was a welder then became a construction superintendent and was self employed throughout his years. He wasn’t afraid to try something new and loved his work. He traveled from Maine to Florida to Alaska while working.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Victor and Donnie Virginia, his brother Wesley Farley. William Don loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved sharing stories with them and always enjoyed hearing from them.
William Don is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann of the home; children Greg Farley & Elaine Fischer of Haworth, Oklahoma and Anngela Whittington & Daniel Kim of Oklahoma City, OK; brother Jimmy Wayne & Barbara Farley of Broken Bow, Ok; sister Brenda Ann & Roger Cox of Dekalb, Texas. One uncle, John Paul & Naomi Farley of Idabel, OK. Six grandchildren; Jeffrey Whittington, Andrew Whittington, Nicolas Whittington, Grayson Dries, Steffen & Breahleigh Farley. Four Greatgrandkids; Malakai, Kynlee, Maverick & Penelope as well numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He will be missed by many and remembered for his uncanny memory and his great story telling.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, February 28, 2022 at White Family Funeral Home in Idabel, OK. 
A celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Redland United Methodist fellowship hall with his life long friend, Kenneth Farley officiating. Cremation will follow.
