Wyota "Sue" Kennedy

Wyota "Sue" Kennedy, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Idabel, OK. She was born on May  30, 1938 in Glover, OK, the daughter of Scott W Williams and Era B Medford Williams.

Sue graduated from the 1956 class of Haworth  Oklahoma, and received an Associate's Degree from Wilburton. Soon after she and Tom Kennedy  were married, she became a full time housewife and mother to two sons.

She was soft spoken and quiet for the most part but was one of the absolute sweetest ladies. Sue was seldom angry and handled everything with such grace and a positive attitude. A child of God she attended the Idabel First United Methodist Church.

Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. 

She  was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Kennedy; a son, Michael Perry Kennedy; sisters, Bernard Harcrow, Doris Scroggins, Bettie Austin and Dee Storey; brothers, Perry Williams, Medford Williams and Fred Milton Williams.

Sue is survived by her son Tommy Dean Kennedy of Idabel, OK; grandsons, Cody and Jessie and their children of Colorado; sister, Linda Whitten and Sonny of Idabel, OK; daughter-in-law, Susan Lucero of Colorado; a special friend, Billie Carr; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Rev. Rachel Parrott officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
